Thayer's STRONGS NT 3676: ὅμωςὅμως ( ὁμός), from Homer down, yet; it occurs twice in the N. T. out of its usual position (cf. Winers Grammar, § 61, 5f.; Buttmann, § 144, 23), viz. in 1 Corinthians 14:7, where resolve thus: τά ἄψυχα, καίπερ φωνήν διδόντα, ὅμως, ἐάν διαστολήν ... πῶς κτλ. instruments without life, although giving forth a sound, yet, unless they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known etc., Fritzsche, Conject. spec. i., p. 52; cf.
