Bildad Says God Rewards the Good 1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
How long will you say these things,
Does God pervert justice?
If your sons sinned against Him,
If you would seek God
If you are pure and upright,
Though your beginning was insignificant,
Please inquire of past generations,
For we are only of yesterday and know nothing,
Will they not teach you and tell you,
Can the papyrus grow up without a marsh?
While it is still green and not cut down,
So are the paths of all who forget God;
Whose confidence is fragile,
He trusts in his house, but it does not stand;
He thrives before the sun,
His roots wrap around a rock pile,
If he is removed from his place,
Behold, this is the joy of His way;
Lo, God will not reject a man of integrity,
He will yet fill your mouth with laughter
Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, New American Standard Bible Copyright © 1960, 1962, 1963, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1995 by The Lockman Foundation, La Habra, Calif. All rights reserved. For Permission to Quote Information visit http://www.lockman.org Bible Apps |
