וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹושֻׁ֜עַ אֶל־כָּל־הָעָ֗ם כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר יְהוָה֮ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ בְּעֵ֣בֶר הַנָּהָ֗ר יָשְׁב֤וּ אֲבֹֽותֵיכֶם֙ מֵֽעֹולָ֔ם תֶּ֛רַח אֲבִ֥י אַבְרָהָ֖ם וַאֲבִ֣י נָחֹ֑ור וַיַּעַבְד֖וּ אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִֽים׃

ויאמר יהושע אל־כל־העם כה־אמר יהוה אלהי ישראל בעבר הנהר ישבו אבותיכם מעולם תרח אבי אברהם ואבי נחור ויעבדו אלהים אחרים׃ Strong's Concordance Holman Christian Standard Bible Joshua said to all the people, “ This is what the LORD , the God of Israel, says: ‘ Long ago your ancestors, including Terah, the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the Euphrates River and worshiped other gods.
New American Standard Bible Joshua said to all the people, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, From ancient times your fathers lived beyond the River, [namely], Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, and they served other gods.
